I want to talk with you today about separating yourself away from the hurry of normal life to spend time with God.  This was the practice of Jesus during his earthly ministry.  We see it here and other places.

Luke 5:16 – But now even more the report about him went abroad, and great crowds gathered to hear him and to be healed of their infirmities. But he would withdraw to desolate places and pray.

It is in the unhurried place that our minds slow down enough to hear.  Often this feels like a desert.
