I have often viewed this verse saying “your life is hidden with Christ” as a sort of protection.  You are safe.  Your life is hidden as in a safe deposit box.  This is true.  Our salvation is secured.  This is why he was able to “sit at the right hand of God” – because your salvation, my salvation, is secured finished, no need to run around earning favor from God – you are completely loved, as evidenced in him giving up his life on the cross.

This year when I was reading this verse I saw another aspect of this scripture to me.“your life is hidden with Christ” is also life we find each time we come to him.  Life is hidden with Christ and not found anywhere else.
