In John 10:11-16 we see the parable of the Good Shepherd.  It says:

“The good shepherd gives his life for the sheep. He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.”(John 10:11-14).

The Character of the Good Shepherd – , the word for “good” used here means more than just morally upright or “nice.” It means beautiful, noble, and excellent. But what makes the Shepherd “beautiful”? It is not His appearance. It is His scars.
