This year’s annual picnic will be held on Saturday, August 22nd, between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. At noon Fr. Jeff will lead us in a Family Prayer Service. We will enjoy our picnic lunches following that service. 

Patterson Park in Grosse Pointe will again be the setting for this year’s event. The park offers a variety of facilities including a covered picnic shelter, splash pad, playground playscape, bocce ball court and a boardwalk along the Detroit River. The setting is beautiful and the weather will be Michigan summer wonderful! 

This year’s picnic will look different because of the COVID-19 guidelines. Here is what you can do to help make this year’s picnic a memorable and safe event for our Mariners’ family. We are asking everyone to bring their own picnic lunch and beverages so that we are not sharing food. To help us spread out, we encourage everyone to bring their own lawn chairs or a blanket. 

Bring yourself, bring your family and friends to share in the day and in the conversation. Please feel free to bring any type of game. This will be a wonderful opportunity for us to reconnect with each other after our months apart.
