We are pleased to introduce your family to Mariners’ Church of Detroit. Our 175-year-old church has been and remains a stalwart for Detroit. Our diverse congregation comes from many locations for two major purposes; to join our parishioners in receiving the Sacrament and to give thanks for the blessings we have received. We are an independent, faith based church, part of the worldwide Anglican Communion.

You will be guided in worship by the 1928 Book of Common Prayer. It directs us to a faith which is based on our God and his Son Jesus Christ. Growth in our faith is the most important tenet of our worship.

We are truly fortunate to have a wonderful choir which is renowned far beyond the Detroit area. Their presence is a great blessing to the Parish and to each individual who listens to them, and joining them in singing the hymns and liturgy.

We are justifiably proud of the facilities and the learning of our Church Sunday School program. Adjacent to its location is a nursery room filled with toys. Our staff of teachers are well trained and fully prepared to assist our younger parishioners grow in the Faith. Child care is available.

After Eucharistic services (8:30 am and 11:00 am) on Sunday we have a delightful Social Hour. Another shorter Eucharist occurs each Thursday at 12:10 p.m. You will find all of our Parishioners to be friendly and welcoming. Parking in the Ford Underground Garage is free and convenient to the Church.

I am always available to share more about the work and worship of Mariners’ Church. With God’s blessing, we look forward to seeing you at Mariners’ Church. Together we share God’s love both inside the church and beyond our walls.

In the name of our Saviour Jesus Christ.
