Welcome!

Welcome to Mariners’ Church of Detroit. We’re glad you are visiting us via the web, and we invite you to visit us in person this Sunday as well.

A message from our Rector

Fr. Paul Innes

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Mariners’ Church of Detroit. Founded 170 years ago to answer the need for equality and the proclamation of the Gospel, Mariners’ has embraced the legacy of our forefathers rooted in the principles of the written word. Our founding mandate was to be a “Church for the Ages”; “A House of Prayer for all People, Free for Evermore.” Even today after so many years, Mariners’ holds true to its Christian heritage providing traditional worship with outstanding music from our professional choir. Mariners’ continues its dedicated focus on the Gospel of Christ and the good news of salvation applicable to the 21st Century in 2012. The church has followed an inheritance of excellence to provide a place of worship for generations of seekers and believers who call it home.

Many have stated that they wondered what Mariners’ Church held for them. In addition to a familiar, comfortable setting in the heart of Detroit, our community experiences the love and embrace of Mariners’ long time traditions; the true Church reaching out to the current world with relevant beliefs.

Come home to Mariners for a meaningful worship experience available twice every Sunday (8:30am and 11:00am), as well as our weekly Thursday mass at 12:10pm. The Lord is calling for you to come and we hope you join us.

In the love of Christ always,

Fr. Paul Signature
