From all area highways, head toward Downtown Detroit–you may follow Tunnel to Canada signs, which will lead to Jefferson Ave…
You will see Mariners Church next to (west of) the Renaissance Center. Less than a block west of Mariners, at Woodward, is the entrance ramp to the Ford Auditorium underground garage.
Those traveling East on Jefferson (e.g. coming off the Lodge Freeway, from Cobo Hall) will stay in the left lane. On Jefferson, at Woodward (and at the Joe Louis Fist statue), go straight through the intersection and veer left into the median strip of Jefferson, and proceed down into the underground garage.
Those traveling West (Southwest) on Jefferson (e.g. coming off of 375 or down Jefferson from Northeast Detroit) stay in the left-hand lane as you pass the Renaissance Center. Just before Woodward, make a leftward U-turn into the median strip of Jefferson, and proceed down into the underground garage.
Free Parking
The attendant can direct you to the far corner of the secured garage, where Mariners’ doors are just a few steps away. Be sure to get a validation card for free parking inside the church.
FYI, if you miss the underground parking at Woodward the first time you drive by, don’t make your U-turn in the Windsor Tunnel Entrance or you’ll be singing “O Canada” before you know it!
